When you're in a city you've never been to before it can be hard to know the best places for eating out, especially if your idea of a nice meal is more than your standard pizza or plate of pasta.  There are a few places in Prague serving gourmet cuisine and we have focused on a few of the best here,to help you decide which restaurant to try.

The Cafe Savoy is a good option for delightful Czech cuisine from the end of the 19th century served with a French twist. The fantastic interior and listed neo-renaissance ceiling makes an outstanding setting.  Dishes include the Steak Tartare Parisien and Roasted Duck in Honey.  A 3 course meal for one will cost around 25 euros.

La Bodega Restaurant is also a good choice.  This place has an unusual interior and is set over 3 floors.  The atmosphere is welcoming and the food is authentic Spanish cuisine.  They also have a wide range of Spanish wines and together with the food and atmosphere this place makes a great dining experience.  A complete meal for one will cost around 35 euros or 900 CZK.

For a modern Art Nouveau dining location which has appeared in many film productions including Mission Impossible with Tom Cruise, head for the Titanic Restaurant at the Grand Hotel Evropa.  Their special dishes include a choice of salads with Palma ham, orange, mozzarella and sun dried tomatoes and Chunk of pork tenderloin with Palma ham, woven with mushrooms Shi-take with caramel-worcester sauce and potato puree with roast spring onion.  The quality of the food and unique interior make this a popular choice for fine dining.  A complete meal for one will cost from 56 euros or 1568 CZK.
